Team Registration – Things You Need to Know

It’s that time of year again to start registering for the upcoming season of FLL. If you have not seen the teaser video for this years “Trash Trek” you can watch it by clicking here.

No Secondary Region
As previously posted, this year teams can only sign up for ONE REGION. If you recall, or you are new to FLL, last year you could sign up for Primary and Secondary Regions, but this made it impossible for partners to figure out how many teams were going to compete in their region until sign up for competitions were complete. Now we know when team registration closes.

Qualifiers
Since West TN is growing, it is most likely that we will be going to qualifiers this year in West TN. What is a Qualifier? It is a preliminary competition teams by which teams earn their way to the West TN Championship. If we have more than 50 teams registered in the region we will be going to qualifiers this year. We hope to have three qualifiers (and each team can only compete in one). If we do not reach 50 teams, we will have up to three scrimmages (practice events) instead. What for more on this once the school year gets underway.

West TN Championship
The West TN FLL Championship will be held on Jan 23, 2016 at the University of Memphis UC 3rd floor (same location as previous years)

New to FLL?
See the page “For Coaches” above. It has more detailed info on how to get started, how to use the Team Information Management System (TIMS) to register your team.
