Volunteer

The West TN Events and the local FLL teams do NOT function without volunteers. If you have any questions about volunteering for FLL in the West TN Region please do not hesitate to email us!

2023-2024 Qualifier

We are not sure if there will be qualifiers this year.

It will depend on how many teams we have!

We are looking for JUDGES who can judge at least for a whole day (see dates and times below). If you are not able to judge a whole day you may still register, and we will place you on a waiting list! Judging has changed to “Consolidated Judging”. Teams are now judged in a single 45-minute session for Innovation Project, Robot Design, and Core Values. If you have volunteered in the past, please know that the rubrics have changed and that we recommend that you complete the training provided by FIRST.

  • Judge Training/Meeting Thursday March 3rd 6:00PM-7:00PM
  • Friday March 4th from 8:00AM-5:00PM
  • Saturday March 5th from 8:00AM-5:00PM

If you would like to volunteer for the Scrimmage, you must register with FIRST, create a FIRST Inspires Dashboard Account, complete a YPP Background Check, Digitally sign your T&C Forms, and select the event(s) you wish to volunteer at.

When you select the Scrimmage, please select the day(s) you can Judge and also please select the role of “Judge”. Judges will judge all 3 areas together starting this year!

When your account has been verified and has passed the YPP screening, you will receive an email stating that you have been assigned the position of Judge. In this email you will also find links that we recommend you follow to complete the basic Judge training. The Head Judge will have Judge training/Meeting the night before Judging begins to go over any questions and to provide additional information.

  2. Once registered, login via FIRST Dashboard and click the Volunteer Registration tab & choose ‘Event Volunteering’.
  3. Filter events by location/ program and select an event (we suggest selecting FLL CHALLENGE, YOUR ZIP CODE and the distance you are willing to travel to an event) . Then Apply Filters.
  4. Select the event(s) you wish to attend.
  5. Complete your required youth protection background screening (US & Canada).
  6. You will receive an email when you have been assigned the role. In this email you will find links to training materials we recommend you check out!
